Seattle Seahawks Trip, Canon Canada: Lens and Shutter

I had an amazing NFL trip courtesy of Canon Canada, through Lens and Shutter a while ago. Not only did I get to see my first American Football Game in the US, but I also got to play with there New ( at the time) Canon EOS 60D for the entire day! Sadly, I wasn't going to Watch the Redskins in Seattle, but I have now adopted Seattle as my secondary team as they are clearly the closer team to me!!!
Anyways here are some of the shots I got finally from that day. I messed around with it a bunch and I really liked it, I couldn't really find any fault with it. Nice feel, Fast, easy navigation... all around a pretty spectacular camera. A great Serious enthusiast camera and definitely a Camera someone wont necessarily out-grow! The only part I wasn't thrilled with was the fact they gave me the Canon EFS 18-135IS.... Not the best lens in there range for sure, my preference for anyone getting this camera would be with the Canon EFS 15-85 IS. fantastically sharp and nice build. A real decent lens you wont out-grow and hate the performance of!!!!
You can find all the specs on it on the Canon Canada Link posted above....

These two were both shot with different cameras.... one with the 60D and the other my Fuji F200EXR

This one also.. one shot with Fuji F200EXR and the other the Canon 60D....
Well hopefully this will entice some people into the 60D... like I said.. great performance and actually not a bad price....

dltphoto: Triptych-Shadow, (as i see it, through her eyes)

This weeks word, chosen by me was "Shadow". Not much needed to be said. I happened to catch a huge wall on my drive to work completely caked in tree shadows... there was my shot!

dltphoto: Triptych-Melody; (as i seeit, through her eyes)

Here is this weeks installment.... A very challenging word, Melody! How does one capture sound within a Photograph??? Hmmmm anyways, as always we had our Criptic brains on!!  Mine was a light set with a speaker on it.... very random!
I really nice looking set of images if I do say so myself.  Lisa's & Monica's.
Sorry I was late ladies....I'll try to pick it up for next week!!!

dltphoto: Triptych-Silent. (as i see it, through her eyes)

Ooooops, Guess who's image is the wrong way!!! guess I got the wrong memo, or at least I read the memo wrong!!! This weeks challenge was Silent!
My shot is quite self explanatory!!! I am a little worries about Lisa's though!! she seems kinda messed up a little. Monica's is hauntingly quiet....She must live somewhere way out in the boonies for a park to be vacant!!

Here is this weeks installment. The week seems to go so quickly!!! Not sure if us old boys can keep up with the younguns pace!
This weeks word was "time'.... but as to be expected we all made it criptic.... thinking of re-naming the project "Criptych" heheh.

dltphoto: Triptych- Autumn (as i see it, through her eyes photography)

Here is this weeks effort from the three of us. Title was Autumn.... some of us are having a good one and some of us (Lisa) starting it with a bad one!
For this weeks I used my little Fuji F200 EXR as its pretty smashing with its sweet dynamic range and wicked little macro, Perfect for autumnal shots!!! although the new Fuji F300 EXR looks pretty wicked too!
"My name is Duncan and I have a Camera Problem".
A nice little collaboration again. It seems we are all getting into the swing of things!

Here are the ladies posts, Lisa( through her eyes photography) and Monica (as i see it).
Next weeks is "thanksgiving" which is tricky for an Englishman, as we dont celebrate that in good "ol blighty"!

dltphoto:Triptych (Vessels): A photo collaboration ( through her eyes, as i see it)

Ok.. so here is this weeks Triptych collection. The assigned topic was Vessels, chosen by me! Fortunately we all got our act together and shot them all the same direction this time.
I was going for the mystery look of the obvious Vessels I had in my Fridge... I had to drink all that first, surprised I could even pick up the camera... heheheheh
Anyways I used a single wireless flash for this experiment. I am quite pleased with it. It would have been nice to have some wilder coloured bottles but you cant have everything!

You can see Lisa's (through her eyes photography and design) post  and Monica's (as i see it) post.
I believe the next topic is Autumn ( vertical pic).... which is a co-incidence as its Autumn time!!!

Wedding, Kamloops: Jason Beattie Photography

Well, they are not always going to be 25 degrees with beautiful rich blue skies and pillowy white clouds but that doesnt mean the bride and groom wont look stunning and totally enjoy there day no matter what comes there way...!
Here are a few snaps that I managed to grab whilst assisting the Man, Mr Jason Beattie way out in the middle of nowhere in Chase, BC on a very rainy and chilly day. Checkout his great shots on his blog ( Jason Beattie Photography)

Triptych ( Obsession): A photo Collaboration (Through Her Eyes Photography)

Here is the first post from a fun little project I decided I would participate in with a couple other photographers. The idea is basically with an assigned topic/word we all provide one image each which we feel is relevant to the word or theme etc...
Currently I have joined Lisa (through her eyes photography and design) & Monica for this Triptych project!. The first entry I just missed out on titled "School" and now the second title was "Obsession"

So here are the three Shots for this weeks word.

Clearly we all have Obsessions, some of which I am sure we dont want to share but these are what we are all willing to show you!!! I guess the obvious Obsession for me would have been my crazy vast collection of Cameras and equipment but alas I chose another! I opted to go for creative lighting using some Coloured Gels on my Wireless Flashes, one of which was outside the window creating the  "Sunrise" effect! and the other for a light fill to show the mug etc! I got to choose the next word for the next Triptych!!! Ha....!
